Contributor Terms of Use

These terms apply to all individuals who contribute to the AI Operational Governance Framework (AI-OGF), including supplements, annexes, diagrams, templates, or supporting materials.

By submitting a contribution, you agree to the following terms.

1. Ownership of Contributions

All contributions become the intellectual property of Randy Manthey upon submission.

Contributors acknowledge that:

  • Contributions are made voluntarily.
  • No compensation is provided.
  • Contributions may be edited, merged, or rejected.
  • Contributions may be incorporated into future versions of AI-OGF.

2. Originality and Attribution

Contributors must confirm that:

  • All submitted work is original.
  • No copyrighted or proprietary material is included.
  • Contributors may use AI tools to assist in drafting content, but they must disclose when AI assistance was used. This ensures proper review, maintains consistency across the framework, and protects the originality and licensing integrity of all contributions. The framework owner may use AI tools at their discretion.
  • All sources, if referenced, are properly cited.

3. Licensing Alignment

All contributions are governed by the AI‑OGF Limited Use License.

Contributors agree that:

  • Their contributions will be distributed under the same license.
  • They grant the framework owner full rights to use, modify, and publish their contributions.
  • They will not assert ownership or licensing claims over contributed material.

4. Contribution Requirements

Contributors must:

  • Follow the AI-OGF document structure and metadata standards.
  • Use the approved templates located in docs/templates/.
  • Maintain consistency with the framework’s terminology and control structure.
  • Avoid scope creep or unrelated content.

5. Review and Approval

All contributions are reviewed by the framework owner.

Approval is not guaranteed.

The framework owner may:

  • Request revisions
  • Modify contributions
  • Reject contributions
  • Defer contributions to a later version
